Public Access Defibrillators

Public Access Defibrillators

In 2013 we initiated a program to place Public Access Defibrillators (PADs) across the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park and surrounding areas. We are proud to now have 80 PADs in place!

In 2016 we launched our own Defib Locator App which pinpoints the location of all PAD units that we manage. The app can be downloaded at https://www.trossachsdefibrillator.co.uk/

So far there have been 26 lives saved (current as of April 2020) Integral to the success of this project is the free training we provide to the general public, community organisations and businesses in the area.

Our members check and maintain each PAD unit once a month, thereby ensuring all units are operationally ready.

The team was also awarded the Scottish Health Awards Volunteers Award in 2018.
